The allies campaign to repel the Russian Invaders is doing well in the SE, with the enemy's air power being largely grounded. There is only one other enemy asset providing air support and that is the Kusnetsov air carrier.

Previous attempts to sink the ship have proved fruitless, with missiles either being shot down or hitting the island that was blocking the route of the Harpoons.

The mission flight plan below, shows your route, which shall take you south of the islands and give you a shot at the carriers from the south.

Fig. 1 - Package Flight Paths

This will be a dawn flight and weather is expected to be poor throughout the southern part of the country, including home plate.

Fig. 2 - Briefing for Package 2082

Mission Success shall be awarded for the sinking of the Kusnetsov, with a partial for damaging it.

As above for Cyborg2.

Lessons learned: Need to relearn how to share mark point with flight.

Cyborg with Gamble4 behind us. Worked our way uneventfully toward the IP. En route Cyborb22 tried to get a lock for a markpoint on the aircraft carriers location, which he passed to the flight.

We descended while in the SA-N-6 bubble to 500 ft AGL in two mile trail, with Gamble tagging on to our tail. Once Gamble 42 had reach the IP all five aircraft executed a turn to the target, ending up line abreast. Once all aircraft individually confirmed that they had the target locked I gave a five second countdown to the planned simultaneous launch of our Harpoons (the aim being to overwhelm the fleets defences).

Gamble 41 and myself had forgotten to turn our missiles back on but recovered. Gamble 41 launching both of his while I managed to launch one before getting too fixated on my weapon systems and being shot down by an SA-N-6.

Of the seven Harpoons launched, two were shot down while the other five hit home, sinking the Kusnetsov.

Both flights returned home unhampered as the southern air threats have been neutralised.
