VFR Departure was a bit late due to traffic on the tarmac. So rolex +5 we pushed for IP in trail formation to correct for this. Good eyes on target we had an early look at the AO and we selected two moving column for the attack and split the targets between elements. Target we're about 5-7 miles apart which in hindsight resulted in a bit difficulty holding a proper wheel pattern for the attack but this posed no risk due to the separation in altitudes between us (FL 180) and the TARCAP and other traffic (FL 220+). We needed a bit more playtime with the GBU-54's and we missed some because the targets we're moving very fast and some bombs couldn't make the turn to target and fell short. Next time we'll take GBU-12's or AGM-65's.
Overall a good & fun mission with excellent TARCAP support which enabled us to focus on the A-G picture. We hit the target just before our friendly ground forces started to engage the columns so I hope we we're able to soften them up sufficiently. All jets came back RTB serviceable.
The ACMI is in the file browser 'Pilots Lobby' on the primary TS server.
MF: 75% hit rate was not achieved. |
