Posted - 25 Aug 2005 : 23:06:51 After consultation with the Senior Officers, Command have decided that the squadron will move to adopt Falcon 4: Allied Force for Official Flying in the near future, subject to clarification of a few minor issues from Lead Pursuit that have been observed in our testing process.
Target date for the change will be 18th September 2005. This is several days after the scheduled UK release date, to allow all our members (there are only a few who have yet to get it) to obtain a copy.

Posted - 03 Sep 2005 : 20:50:02 Well looks like I owe CDWOW an apology as it turned up yesterday. Loaded it this morning and was amazed at how easy it was to install. After loading it up I went up for a quick familiarisation flight just to make sure I could remember the important things, that went ok so tried a landing. The approach seemed ok then it all started to go wrong, at least I knew that it was going wrong before i made a big hole in the tarmac, went around and the second attempt went ok. It was quite a shock to realise how out of practice I was at the basic things. |

Posted - 03 Sep 2005 : 10:34:56 Hi Seawolf - Nice to see you again mate :-)
I got my copy from Belgium. Fast and efficient delivery but the box was in a pretty bad state as it was only packaged in a jiffy bag.

Posted - 01 Sep 2005 : 15:25:22 Hi Seawolf glad to see that you will soon be back with us. I bought my copy of AF from graphsim in the USA. www.grapsim.com worked out at about £20. There is also a site in Belgium but I cant remember their address. Maybe someone could supply it.
Hope to meet up in the big blue in the near future.
regards,

Posted - 31 Aug 2005 : 20:18:21 Hi folks For those that dont know me, i used to be a pilot in Blue flight before work commitments meant I had to drastically reduce my flying hours. Well thats all sorted now so I am in the process of dusting off the cougar so that I can come out of the reserves. The only problem I have is trying to source a copy of Allied Force. The only place I have found in the UK is CDWOW however they have just informed me that they dont have any in stock and dont expect any untill the 7th at the earliest. Can anyone suggest a supplier that actually has any in stock or is it a case of waiting. I was hoping to get a copy as soon as possible so i dont embarress myself too much.

On second thoughts... do I heck! I just tried to build a TE in Balkans, and just realised what a gawd-awful mission-planning map that is. No real impression of where the mountains/valleys are, no indication of roads or rivers or nothing.
Okay... rant over. |

Good move IMHO... online has been extremely impressive, and personally I cannot wait for the transition. Roll on the 18th!
Suppose I better start getting to know the Balkans a little better for building a few TEs. Rumour has it a 48-ship of Flankers just arrived on the scene... ;-) |
