This weeks mission saw the teams attempt a 2 ship CAS mission to destroy an engineer unit supported by a 2 ship SEAD and 2 ship Escort. Key to success was protecting the CAS flight at all costs from the key SAM defences and the multitude of enemy fighters patrolling the area.

Despite several attempts to fly the mission, both Blue and Red flights unfortunately had to declare a Technical failure. Team score 90 points for each flight.

Black also encountered some technical problems but managed to take on the mission at the second attempt. 1 pilot from the 5 who departed managed to return, the rest lost to a mixture of air defences and enemy aircraft. Mission failure due to not degrading the target significantly enough. Flight Score 213.

Green were the clear stars of the show this week. Working superbly as a coordinated team, each flight in the package stuck to their task and offered mutual support when requested, resulting in a Partial success with the engineer unit badly damaged and 4 out of 5 pilots who departed returning safely home. Well flown by all concerned, in particular to Homer who claimed a magnificent 7 AA kills leading to a top individual score of 73 on the night. Flight score 325.

Homer moves to the top of the individual month to date standings along with his flight Green who take over at the top of the month & Year-to-Date standings. Vosene regains his lead at the top of the individual Year-to-Date rankings.

Full details of the scoring are available in the CPL section of the War Room.

Did I mention the Green Mambas are warming up in the hot sun

Great mission and great flight guys.

Lets keep it up now, other flights will be queueing up for top spot, if we let it slip.
