This week the teams took on a daring snatch and grab mission to pick up 2 key personnel trapped at an isolated airfield behind enemy lines. The mission required 2 F16s to land at the airbase while the remainder of the group provided top cover.

In general the performance of the squad was first class with only 3 losses sustained from 19 pilots who took off, with all 4 flights reporting a mission success.

Unfortunately, all three of the losses were sustained in Black flight, one to air defences and the other 2 due to a tragic mid runway collision at the target airfield. Despite this setback, the remainder of the team put down another 2 aircraft and returned a mission success against the odds registering an impressive 6 AA kills along the way.

Red flew a solid mission returning all 5 pilots intact and returning a mission success, dealing efficiently with the SAM threats and engaging the enemy interceptors with no losses and posting their highest score to date.

Blue also scored well, returning a mission success with the same AA kills as Red however they scored slightly higher as Stingray again demonstrated his skill to take out 10 AG targets of opportunity.

Best score of the week however went to Green led by Sabre who matched the performance of the other teams but with one pilot less, bringing everyone home safely and securing a mission success. Very well flown to you all.

Best individual score was Cobra with 75, best team score was 392 by Green, thereby taking over second place in the Quarter/YTD standing and closing the gap on the leaders Blue.

More details are available in the CPL section of the War Room.
