We have been once again invited to show off Falcon BMS at this show in October. I have requested a stand for us, last years format was a couple of computers setup on a mini LAN to fly some Combat Missions together, while other members spoke to the public. Over 1600 visitors last year on that one day and the 185th had the largest crowd all day!

I will be looking for volunteers later in the year to help, but just put the date in your diary for now.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Crowebar for organizing this on behalf of the 185th and to the other members going to represent the Sqn. Very disappointed I can't attend, should be a great show and, with over a thousand people due to attend, great publicity for our Sqn.

If anyone is going but hasn't preordered a ticket I recommend you do so because the goody bags are usually very good.

Bring your gear Scruffy, we can always put stuff on the floor.

Sabre was here

Yeah, it is still my intention to drop by and will certainly say hello.

Hi Crowebar - I may be bringing a friend along as soon as I know I will buy two tickets and see what's in the goodie bag?

Really looking forward to matching some faces with some names ;0)

Hi Scruffy, welcome aboard. I think we are ok for rigs. We can fit 3 at the most. But I envisage flying 2 ships with any other personnel present talking to our audience. Myself and Sabre are set to take our rigs, and Griffin I believe is looking at taking his. We will rotate between flying and chatting on the day. We had a couple of simple short missions last year which we will use again this year.

More than welcome to bring your mate, you will both get in free if you are coming before the show starts as exhibitors. Hopefully he will go home signed up as a cadet!!

Got the all clear to come up all day, can bring a rig if someone has table space?

May have a friend who isn't part of 185th would that be a problem?

Well hello there Ballistic. Why not take a day out and catch a lift to the show with Sabre

The hangar is open for setting up from 08:00 Saturday morning, show opens at 10:00. So you get 2 hours. Last year I arrived at 8, Sabre 8.30 ish and we were easily setup in time. If you are happy to bring your rig Griffin I think we could easily fit 3 rigs in a row on the table. Last year we had 2, which ment that Skal was always flying an unfamiliar rig. If you have rudder pedals you need a non-slip mat as the floor is slippy.

Cosford is 1.5 hours drive for me so easily reached on the Saturday morning. However if people are looking at staying Friday night I may well consider joining the party!

Ironman are you considering joining us for the day as an official (free entry)?

Griffin Posted - 26 Aug 2015 : 18:56:55
Thinking about it. Depends what time I need to be in the museum to set my rig up.

Ironman Posted - 25 Aug 2015 : 20:02:46
Is anyone staying on Friday night at the Telford Hotel?

Park Inn

Yup, this is something I think I would like to attend and show my support for the squad.
