Homer has written a version of the Panama Theatre especially for the 185th VFS.

After passing testing with flying colours Command are very pleased to announce that it has been approved for official Flight Nights. You can download the official version here.

Thank you Homer, excellent work.

Theatres now approved for 185th VFS Sunday nights are:

Korea
Korea 2005
Korea 2010
Balkans
Balkans 2005
Balkans 2010
Israeli Theatre V0.5
Panama 185th VFS Version.

TE writers are encouraged to submit official TEs for any of the above Theatres to Griffin for testing.

In addition I'm still looking for volunteers to test the Skunkworks V1.2 Korea 2012 and Balkans 2012 Theatres. If approved these will also be added to the approved Theatres list.

Ok....the installation of a "new" Battlefield requires that you edit two files. The first is the "theater.lst" and is on the dir of Allied Force. My file looks like that:
terrdata\theaterdefinition\Korea.tdf
terrdata\theaterdefinition\Korea2005.tdf
terrdata\theaterdefinition\Korea2010.tdf
terrdata\theaterdefinition\Balkans.tdf
terrdata\theaterdefinition\Balkans2005.tdf
terrdata\theaterdefinition\Balkans2010.tdf
iteaf\def\israel.tdf
Theaters\Vietnam\Vietnam1.tdf
Theaters\Vietnam\Vietnam2.tdf
Theaters\AirPistols\koreamod.tdf
Theaters\AirPistolsColdWar\koreamod.tdf
Theaters\Skunkworks\Skunkworks1.tdf
Theaters\Skunkworks\Skunkworks2.tdf

You can see that all new theaters (i.e. those that do not come with AF) are installed in the "Theaters" dir. If you want to add a new Theater you would add the following line:
Theaters\SnakesMod\Anyname.tdf

The second step requires that you edit the "Anyname.tdf". This file should be inside the Theater dir and has several entries regarding where are the art, sound, database, etc, related to this Theater. For example, the mod I have working is a mod of Korea dir, so I changed the respective tdf file inside the AirPistols dir and now it looks like that:

# Korean TDF file
# shown in the pick list
name Air Pistols (by Tiag)

# Title shown on theater page
desc Korean Theater of Operations: AirPistols

# bitmap to display on theater page
bitmap Theaters\AirPistols\AirPistols.tga

# in general, you can miss out most of these, and it
# will use the default, unless another theater changes it
# so probably best to put in explicitly.

# Where the campaign directory is
campaigndir Theaters\AirPistols\campaign\Koreamod

# where the terrain data is
terraindir Theaters\AirPistols\terrdata

# where art is loaded from
artdir Theaters\AirPistols\art

# movies
moviedir movies\Korea

# uisounds
#uisounddir sounds

# default objects
objectdir Theaters\AirPistols\objects

# misc textures
misctexdir terrdata\misctex

# 3d object files
3ddatadir Theaters\AirPistols\objects

# minimum tacan channel
mintacan 1

# sounds dir
sounddir sounds

# acmibin dir
acmidir acmibin\korea

That is it. When you do that for the original Panama, just be aware of the following: AF tests in MP if the description of Theater is the same. If you want to fly the original Panama online with someone in the future and you change its name, you will have a problem. Similarly, since we will be using the mod by Homer, this one should have the original name, otherwise you won´t be able to join us on Sunday nigths.

I can explain you how to install several campaigns in the folder of AF as you wish.....very easy. For example, I have 3 Korea 2010 folders in my AF: the one delivered with AF and two mods I have been working on since....long time. When I get home I post something here how to do it.

I would uninstall the old version before installing this version.
