Posted - 01 Jul 2004 : 13:50:42 Hello all,
Weezer has pointed out the capabilities of Teamspeak. Therefore Tracer, PJC, Weezer and I decided to test it out last night. We had a very pleasant and rewarding flight, and judging from the results we decided that this could be a candidate to solve the problems we have been having with Ventrilo (max. clients = 8). We would like to test Teamspeak on Sunday July 11. A link to the download location was added to the 'links' section (http://teamspeak.org). The 'Quick Download' section in the upper right corner will take you to the correct version (2.0.32). If this trial is succesful we will likely move to Teamspeak for the forseeable future.
I have setup a server. IP and password can be obtained through ICQ or email. Include your callsign so that I can authenticate you, as I intend to keep this server non-public (185th only).
For those of you who would like to setup their own Teamspeak server, you need version 2.0.20. Furthermore, I think it is possible to copy my configuration files to your server directory, saving you the tedious task of creating the channels and setting the codecs yourself.
Regards, Goose |
