Posted - 20 Jun 2009 : 12:28:28 To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 185th we'll be holding an event on Friday 03 July 2009, exactly 10 years after the 185th was formed.
The plan for the evening is to have a large scale co-operative multiplayer TE with up to 24 human pilots, although this will depend on numbers.
I've also invited several Retired members of the Sqn and hopefully at least some will be able to join us to catch up with old friends.
The evening is designed to be a sociable fun event and a chance to fly together in a large scale TE outside of the CPL environment.
If you'd like to sign up, add your name to the ATO:

There will also be a limited edition of the 185th 10th anniversary patch for everyone who attends on the evening.

Posted - 03 Jul 2009 : 23:48:40 Thanks for organising this, I haven't been able to play much recently owing to real life commitments, so it was a great return for me! Cheers to all involved and happy 10th! |

Please find out how many people would like to take part from Readiness Helldiver. I'll confirm the number of spaces by Saturday.

Posted - 24 Jun 2009 : 14:41:31 9 people have signed up so far include Pinbeck who will be returning to active flying soon. In addition Dragoon has e-mailed me to say he'll be joining us from around 2030, Snakebite will be providing AWACS and Kai will try to make it as well. That makes a total of 12 attending so far.
I'm still waiting to hear back from several other retired/reserve members.
If no-one else signs in the next couple of days up I'll look to invite a few guests from other Sqns so sign up quick on the ATO if you want to fly.

Posted - 21 Jun 2009 : 10:15:37 Man, I am absolutely gutted. That is probably the worst date for me as I'm at a wedding that day. And I gave up going to a rugby match for that.
I'm even more gutted as I missed the other event earlier this year.
Ah well. I hope the rest of you guys get in board and mark the anniversary in top style. Enjoy it.

Posted - 20 Jun 2009 : 20:12:18 Just a reminder in joining the server tactics...
1. Meet on TS. 2. Check you TS settings and whisper settings for your assigned channels 3. When the server is up (hot) with the TE join in the lobby by your command officer orders. 3A. (settings will be 192 Up and 384 down) 4. Type in the lobby chatbox the number of the pilots you see in the lobby. 5. When all confirmed that see all the others then join the TE by command officer order. 6. Join the TE stop the running clock and check your joystick profiles. 7. Do the briefing. 7. If there is a technical issue within 5 minutes after joinning the cockpit, call for a re-start, we are not allowed to re-join while others on air. 8. If for some reason we have to leave the game, we must wait untill all others have landed. No exiting before that allowed. In case of an emergency, just leave your PC running. So inside the mission do not press E button just press the R button (resume mission).
Have the usuall fun.
