Well all the results are now in, latest standings as follows:-

  • 1st 1.5 PIE 317
  • 2nd Blues 293
  • 3rd BGees 243

Mixed results this week on what turned out to be a mission impossible.
No team managed a success as strictly defined in the terms of the brief, however all 3 teams destroyed the nuclear plant, which was the only briefed target that could actually be destroyed. It turns out that transformers in SP3 are indestructable, so you could have dropped everything on them without success. See this thread on Frugals for more detail http://forums.frugalsworld.com/vbb/showthread.php?p=619336

As a result of this I have decided to award all 3 teams a mission success on the grounds that they all destroyed the 1 briefed target it was possible to destroy and all teams managed to photograph the damage as briefed. Well flown to everyone under trying circumstances. Mission narratives are wellcomed.

The superstars this week were without doubt the BGees who all returned safely with a mission success, with each flight member also contributing an AA kill along the way. Blues and 1.5 PIE were also successful, but lost 1 and 2 pilots respectively, the former to SA6 fire, the latter to an enemy CAP patrol. The overall lead remains with 1.5 PIE but the gap is narrowing. Could this be the turning point of the campaign, and have they peaked too soon?

Team scores BGees 68 points, Blues 56 points, 1.5 PIE 51 points.

Good luck for the remaining 3 missions.
