Command wish to recognise the flying skill of both Tomb and Sabre of Green flight who demonstrated service beyond the call of duty during the recent Oil Refinery Mission (6th August). Both are hereby awarded the Silver Star.

Flying a 2 ship SEAD escort, the pair witnessed the unfortunate demise of their strike flight and should really have turned back. However, with the honour of the flight at stake, both pilots proceded to target and destroyed the oil refinery with guns only using several well executed straffing runs whilst successfully dodging the mutiple SA17 launches still in the vicinity. Most importantly, they achieved this feat and brought both planes safely home to claim mission success in lieu of their downed comrades. Very impressive flying indeed, well done gentlemen.
