Posted - 22 Aug 2006 : 15:57:41 Gentlemen,
Skins for the Block 52 Viper are available for download by clicking on the link below. Simply save to desktop and away you go. Installation instructions are included. Within the pack are skins for each flight.
185th Skins
The use of these skins are NOT compulsory but they look good when you're flying a Sunday TE. Enjoy.

Posted - 24 Aug 2006 : 18:15:50 If aircraft are skinned correctly, it has absolutley no effect to game stability, it is merely the gfx that your computer sees, you could make your plane all black etc, it makes absolutley no difference to stability.

Posted - 24 Aug 2006 : 16:47:15 I guess this kind of modifications are not to be used during official squadron missions? Or do we want to go back to the dark ages of Falcon4?

Posted - 24 Aug 2006 : 12:52:33 I'll try and make a skin pack with the skin pack installer to make things easier, ive also got a modified wepons skin pack so i'll make them all available, if the skin pack installer works ok.

Posted - 24 Aug 2006 : 07:47:16 Ballistic, the comment means that the whole rar file , in this case, should be expanded to desktop and left there. As well as the bmp files there is a folder with the LOD editor in it. The rest is explained. You DO NOT have to move the bmp files anywhere else. The LOD editor simply uses them where ever you put them.
I hope that clears it up.

Posted - 23 Aug 2006 : 23:19:29 I thought this sounded too easy
The installation instructions say "3/ This zip file should contain five.bmp files. Just put them anywhere for now".
I hate these statements. I've opened the LOD editor, how do I see five .bmp files and how do I put them anywhere?
I can scroll down to number 2464 but I dare not until I have confirmed what the above means.
Please advise

Posted - 23 Aug 2006 : 22:01:58 The files are stored in a WinRar file. To unpack them you need a file that can handle RAR files. You can get WinRAR here: http://www.rarlab.com/

Posted - 23 Aug 2006 : 21:48:39 How do I save to desktop - when I right-click it gives me the option to send it to the desktop but when I click on the link in the desktop it asks me what program to open the file with?
Do I need a skinpack installer that I see in Frugals?
regards, Ballistic
