Posted - 14 Jun 2006 : 12:57:06 Ballistic,
While older TEs may seem to work okay, there are so many database changes since 1.05 that there will be compatibility issues. C3PO has told us to use TEs written in 1.07 to ensure there is not a problem.
There seems to be fewer problems upgrading from 1.05 to 1.07 than with any previous patch but I have always installed a new patch on top of a vanilla install to minimise the chance of any problems and 1.07 was no exception.

Posted - 14 Jun 2006 : 12:39:05 I installed the 1.07exe onto my existing 1.05. Is this the way to do it or should I do a complete re-install again?
It seems to work ok and I even tried a TE I put together in 1.05 that was in the appropriate folder that I guess has now updated to 1.07? Does this mean that if you leave all TE's in the file and update then they are all still usable?
I have had no problems with any of the Falcon keystroke files affecting my X36 that is set up as Stingray mentioned.
Any comments appreciated.
cheers, Ballistic

No biggie, but some of the files have been made READ ONLY. This has caused some people some issues ...
... with skins (see separate post entitled "Skin problem in 1.07 solved") ...
... and, for me, with the KEYSTROKES file. Changing a setting via the UI did not take hold or save. I had to go into Windows and disable the Read Only file status of the KEYSTROKES file so that the changes I was making in the UI to some of my preferred keyboard key settings would take hold and save accordingly.
Hope this does the trick.

Posted - 13 Jun 2006 : 08:38:30 I have problems with the keystrokes modification. I use a X45 that I program within falcon. It has allways worked. But now, everything seems to work when I'm in the settings sceen, but then after exiting falcon and coming back in again the settings are gone. Any ideas??

Posted - 12 Jun 2006 : 23:13:31 just flew 1.07 with Aggressors, no mp issues to report.
Attempted to fly close formation with Tiger and Lunatic, very smooth, no danger of front aircraft warping backwards unexpectedly when in close trail. Very smooth close formation flying.
Funny engine sound though, don't know where that came from.
