Posted - 22 Nov 2005 : 17:01:01 hey there!
yeah it was a bit sad not all of our 185th members showed up yesterday, especially not tiger, who was managing this meeting for the whole squadron (our capt :) ) we assume something happened to his computer/internet connection or so....
still it was fun flying a 2v2 for the first time with nimbus on my wing. both of us never did such a thing before and i (guess nimbus too) felt that this was some kind of more "realistic" because it wasnt just a normal mission you, a mission you fight against other human players. also the thing that padlock was totally disabled (even tho a lil (or big) advantage for the people that own a track ir (unluckily not me)) as well as that we only had rear aspect missiles available forced us really into finding a suitable tactic and while rememering the points you want to achive, you just think twice about it all.
unluckily i crashed the damn plane on the deck when avoiding the sam sites to clear the way for our b1b :( and yesterday i wished we would have done just a rematch of it because, yeah, the technical problems appeared. from our point of view, nimbus and me would say: we definately could have done better :) but we're still happy about our first 2v2 ending with a win for 185th - Representin!! (lol) also thanks to benger and fox for having a good time, anytime again!
Greets, Medic
PS: **GAME 3**
WOPPA / Psycho (53rdVFS) 4000
V
BT6 / BT9 (Belgian Virtual Tigers) 4000
No tech issues at all and smooth game had by all and points displayed correctly.
WIN 53rd VFS

Posted - 22 Nov 2005 : 10:11:06 just copied from my post at frugs cheers to homer medic n nimbus for showing
well it didn't go to plan as expected with 5 pilots from the 185th not showing but we did manage to get some matches flown although some tech issues were seen.
**Game 1**
The Penetrator (53rd VFS) 3000
1 V 1
Homer (185th) 2000
This mission was flown with the A.I wingman RTB'd. At the end of the game the VC points were shown as 2000 points each but i was clear to teh guys in game that the 53rd VFS pilot had scored 3000 points with the b1b (2000vc) and opposing f16 (1000vc) destroyed. Homer conceded the game to TP.
WIN 53rd
**Game 2**
Medic / Nimbus (185th) 2000
V
Fox / Bengo (53rd-VFS) 1000
this game had the server ctd once hit by a AIM 9p and many other tech issues followed which could have been from people trying to fly in the B1b and E8 Jstars that were also in the game. the 53rd Pilots didn't make it back to the debrief so were unable to get a screen capture of their Vc's So with the evidence from the 185th screen captures the game has been awarded to the 185th. I think i would have been best if the mission reset after the host CTD'd and reflown but as it is the scores will stand.
WIN 185th
**GAME 3**
WOPPA / Psycho (53rdVFS) 4000
V
BT6 / BT9 (Belgian Virtual Tigers) 4000
No tech issues at all and smooth game had by all and points displayed correctly.
WIN 53rd VFS
All in all not the best night we've had but i think the problems we had lastnight was down to lack of experience and some members not having the briefing pak which basically means they are flying blind and don't know the rules or the order of battle.
I will make sure all 53rd Pilots taking part in this mission will know the format and rules I can only ask each squadron does the same. I would also recomend that each sqaudron nominates a team captain who will distribute the briefing and make sure pilots are going to show on the night for this to work properly.
All said and done i certainly had fun and so did the guys i talked to i just was a shame that we didn't get the turn out we were expecting as i feel the 185th guys who did trurn out was a little embarrassed by what had happened and put dampner on their night.
Cheers to all who attended
Not sure if we are going to have a december meet as it's a busy month for us all but we will be back in the new year for interested parties.
Regards
