Posted - 17 Sep 2026 : 20:03:12 Operation SOLID TRUSS – Mission 36 – Sunday 20th September 2026
[CLASSIFIED: SECRET (185th VFS Eyes Only)
Campaign Objectives:
1. Stop the Egyptian Armoured Advance through the Sinai - Complete 2. Achieve Air Superiority ? 3. Hold ALL Israeli Airbases - Complete 4. Prevent a second armoured advance – In progress
SITUATION:
It would appear that following our recent successful strikes on crossings over the Sinai, one bridge has been quickly repaired and this is allowing further crossings by Egyptian ground units, which are now moving east towards the Israeli border and threatening our troops who are securing key sites in western Sinai.
To prevent further crossings, the 185th VFS is again tasked with destruction of the last remaining crossing points – the Ismailia and El Qantar bridges, and further interdiction of enemy units advancing east.

Scheme of manoeuvre:
BULLDOG6 is tasked with destruction of the Ismailia and El Qantara Bridges, while BANSHEE1 is tasked with interdiction of enemy ground units in the vicinity. Intelligence and satellite imagery has identified mechanised and armoured ground units already over the bridges, with lead elements having advanced some 25 miles east.
EAGLE7 (F15C) and MAKO1 (F16I-52+ SUFA) are both designated as DCA, tasked to protect both strike flights from enemy air during their ground operation. Either of these flights can be aborted in the event of insufficient pilot numbers for either frame.
Recent weeks have seen an increase in enemy air activity over western Sinai. No SAM activity has been detected in the AO but pilots should remain alert to the AAA/MANPAD threat if conducting low level attacks.
SUPPORT
AWACs support is provided by an E3A Sentry (c/s SENTRY7), operating 60nm south of Nicosia and escorted by USAF F15C. This package is assigned in a support only role and will not engage in offensive operations against any forces in the region, other than in self defence.
