Operation SOLID TRUSS – Mission 32 – Sunday 23rd August 2026
CLASSIFIED: SECRET (185th VFS Eyes Only)
Situation: The renewed enemy offensive continues rapidly to escalate. Our most recent attack against red forces met with severe resistance causing considerable damage to the 185th. Air superiority has been lost with enemy aircraft being vectored from many directions, most noticeably from Beni Suef deep in enemy territory to the South West. The armoured thrust to the East across the Sinai poses a substantial threat.
INTEL
G2 comms intercepts and visual recon confirm that a combined armoured regiment has crossed North of Lake Timsah Eastward using the bridge at El Qantara which appears to have been repaired by the 12 Eng Batt. The lead force comprises the 114 Mech Batt with the 31, 12 and 11 Armoured Batts following. They have a large compliment of Abrams M1A1s. It is highly likely that one or more regiments may follow. This force is being covered by the 401 and 408 AAA Batts and the 517 ADB. There are also worrying reports of the presence of the 715 Inf Batt to the North of the FLOT, they are unlikely to be an isolated group. Also, unconfirmed reports of a possible air strike, feet wet, North of the Sinai heading East.
Mission:The 185th squadron will attack and eliminate (1) the El Qantara bridge at 30.36.164 32.19.839 and (2) the enemy armoured force as per the Sit Rep. TOT 11:13:00z in order to prevent further movement East.
Execution: Two flights of F16 Sufas, Mudhen 4 and Satan 1, will conduct a coordinated strike on the enemy force. Top cover will be provided by Hog 1 F15c. Coordination, and loadout will be at the discretion of flight leads.

SUPPORT
NATO continues to authorise logistical and EW support to Israeli forces. Whilst NATO forces are not permitted to engage in active combat with Egyptian forces (unless fired upon), UN Charter 11979 has authorised limited use of AEW capability. To that end, an E3A c/s Dragnet 1 has been tasked from RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus.
