Operation SOLID TRUSS – Mission 9 – Sunday 8th March 2026

[CLASSIFIED: SECRET (185th VFS Eyes Only)

SITUATION:

With the threat in the south to our home base neutralised for the time being, our attention must now shift to several armoured units threatening the outskirts of Tel Aviv. These units have already advanced unopposed into the heart of Israel, taking the airbases at Hatzor and Tel Nof, as well as several strategically important support objectives surrounding the bases. Israeli armour is rushing south to reinforce the beleaguered defenders south of Tel Aviv and in order to support these forces, the 185th VFS is tasked with air interdiction of the Egyptian armoured battalions to prevent any further advance. It is imperative that we stop them here and push them back into the Sinai, or destroy them completely.

INTEL

The airbases at Faid and Abu Suwayr are home to several squadrons of Egyptian F16-32, F16-40 and F16-52+, these remain intact and other enemy air threats have been encountered during previous missions – notably Mig29, Mirage 2000 and Rafale fighter aircraft. No SAM units have been detected in the area but pilots should keep alert to the threat of MANPADs and other mobile air defence systems that may be advancing with the armoured battalions.

In addition the airbases at Hatzor and Tel Nof have been captured by Egyptian forces but these are not yet fully operational.

Priority targets for this mission are Egyptian M1A1 MBTs and other armoured supporting vehicles.

SUPPORT

NATO continues to authorise logistical and EW support to Israeli forces. Whilst NATO forces are not permitted to engage in active combat with Egyptian forces (unless fired upon), UN Charter 11979 has authorised limited use of AEW capability. To that end, an E3A Sentry (Escorted by 2x F15C) has been tasked from RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus and remains on station.

AIR TASKING ORDER
4x F-16I-52+ (185th VFS), Nevatim AB – c/s MUSTANG 2 – AI (& Package Cdr) – T/O Time: 05:56:13 – LSR: 161X
4x F-16I-52+ (185th VFS), Nevatim AB – c/s COBRA 7 – AI – T/O Time: 05:57:13 – LSR: 162X
4x F-16I-52+ (185th VFS), Nevatim AB – c/s WEASEL 5 – AI – T/O Time: 05:58:13 – LSR: 163X

ATO SUPPORT

1x E-3 AEW/ABCCC (963rd AEW) – RAF Akrotiri – c/s SENTRY 1 – Sunrise/Set 04:30 – 09:30

WEAPONS

Due to the proximity of friendly forces as well as civilian population areas, weapons are restricted to Precision Guided Only. No Cluster or Free-fall munitions are authorised for this mission. In addition, all pilots MUST declare targets with AWAC and if practicable, visually identify targets before the release of munitions. Due to the potential for protracted holding, c/s WEASEL 5 has been loaded with wing tanks to provide additional fuel but these can be replaced at flight lead discretion.

SCHEME OF MANOUVRE

Due to the confined AOR, Package Commander is advised to attack the area in turn, with one flight only within the AOR. A Holding Point is available at STP 4 for loitering Aircraft. To enable deconfliction between flights at the hold point, the following Holding Pattern is to be observed:

Fixpoint: Stp4, Inbound: 360, Formation: Trail, Altitude(s): 20,000ASL (Stacked at 1000’ interval between flights), Turn: Standard (Right), Leg length: 2 Min.

All pilots MUST adhere to the above pattern (particularly altitude block) to avoid collisions.

Mission Success Criteria:

Mission Success:
1. Ground - An average of 4 enemy armoured units destroyed per aircraft.
1a. If AI ground jettison required, no losses to enemy air

Partial Success:
1. Ground - An average of 3 enemy armoured units destroyed per aircraft.
1a. If AI ground jettison required, maximum 1 loss to enemy air

Mission Fail:
Any loss of friendly units caused by 185th ordnance will result in a mission fail for the pilot responsible and court martial action is likely to follow.

For thousands of years our people have been oppressed, exploited and almost eradicated by others in this region and we are surrounded on all sides by those who wish to do us harm. Make no mistake, failure here will inevitably result in the fall of Tel Aviv and ultimately the death of the Israeli nation – we as a people will once again be made homeless and scattered to the four corners of the globe. This must not happen and you have a crucial role in preventing this.

Good Luck and may God be with us all.

The 4 things a wingman is allowed to say:

1.Two
2.Lead, you're on fire.
3.I'm bingo fuel.
4.I'll take the fat one.... :/
