185th VFS EYES ONLY
Operation DENY Flight2 Mission 17 - Sunday 23rd November 2025
Following a recent unexpected counter-attack by FRY forces east of Zeljana airbase, enemy ground forces have managed to gain significant territory pushing North East towards the airbase, forcing our gro8und units to abandon their push for Sarajevo airport and retreat, resulting in FRY forces ultimately recapturing Zeljana AB. NATO forces have been hard pressed to hold the advance and have retreated west. Political support within some NATO home countries has understandably wavered and as a result, the regaining of previously lost territory has been given the highest priority by NATO high command. To that end, NATO ground forces have consolidated and prepared a counter offensive towards Zeljana AB, with the objective of recapturing it as soon as possible. The 185th VFS is tasked with Air Interdiction of advancing FRY units to assist in this mission. Air Intelligence has identified two potential areas of high FRY activity and so the 185th VFS is tasked with interdiction of these areas to slow or even prevent any further advances by FRY ground forces, enabling NATO forces to retake Zeljana AB.

Flights tasked with AI should concentrate their attacks on armoured targets as a priority over soft targets. Weapons at Flight Lead discretion
Intel:
Intelligence reports enemy air activity in the vicinity as light to moderate with sporadic enemy AAA units still active. No high risk SAM threats have been identified but all pilots should remain alert to the possibility of mobile SAM units supporting the FRY counter attack.
Mission Success
AI flights – an average of 4 enemy armoured units destroyed per aircraft (PS – average 4 enemy units of any kind OR average 2 enemy armoured units destroyed.
DCA – No losses to enemy air activity (PS 1 loss to enemy air activity).
