Operation DENY FLIGHT 2 – Mission 10 – Sunday 28th September 2025

CLASSIFIED: SECRET (185th VFS Eyes Only)

During our last mission, the airbase at Zeljana was captured by NATO forces with Ubdina Airbase to the south captured some 4 hours later. With the threat of enemy aircraft in the area somewhat reduced our attention now moves to the south where NATO forces, pushing southeast along the coast are facing heavy resistance from enemy armoured units supported by mechanised infantry, artillery and surface to surface artillery missiles. So far, our efforts to support these forces from the air have met with resistance from a squadron of Mig29s fighters situated at Zadar Zemunik Airbase to the south and in addition to this, 2 squadrons of J-22 attack aircraft have been supporting enemy forces to repel the NATO advance southwards.

PRIMARY

To that end your primary mission is the destruction of both runways at the airbase to prevent these assets being further deployed. Location: BE 101 46nm

SECONDARY

Meanwhile to the northeast, the 1st, 3rd and 4th infantry battalions, ordered to capture the airbase are facing heavy resistance from the enemy 2nd Motor Rifle Battalion, supported by artillery and expected to be reinforced by the 4th Mech Battalion within hours. If sufficient pilots are available, secondary targets are heavy/medium armoured units from these forces, to assist our infantry in their objective. Due to the close proximity of friendly forces, pilots MUST visually identify and if possible confirm with AWAC before firing on ground targets.

INTEL

The airbase consists of 2 perpendicular runways, one of which is fully operational and one is damaged with repairs currently underway. The operational runway must be put out of action and it is advised that further damage is done to the runway currently under repair, as well as other high value targets at the base (assuming sufficient available pilots and aircraft). A AAA battalion remains at the base but it has been reduced to 1x AAA gun plus support vehicles.

HUMINT assets on the ground have reported a roaming SA6 Battalion around Krin village, approximately 40 miles east of Zemunik AB, so pilots are advised to stay clear of this area; the CO has a future mission in mind for this threat involving Maj. Noodle as bait.

Enemy ground units at the Secondary target are supported by ZSU23, SA13 and SA15 SHORAD systems and of course there is the threat of Mig29s aircraft from the airbase itself.
