Posted - 15 Aug 2021 : 11:12:03 Our last mission identified that the condition of the enemy airbase at Suwon and the air assets there were incorrectly shown as lost. MiG-21s were seen departing that airbase.
Your task this time out is to destroy both runways at Suwon.

There are manpad threats from an SA-14's at the depleted SA-2 and infantry battalions.
If munitions and fuel allows, we think Osan may be similarly tricking us and an attempt on that AB should be attempted if possible. It is NOT mission critical.

We approached at FL250 with 1 and 2 carrying Durandals with 3 and 4 carrying SDB's. 1 & 2 orbited at SP 4 while 3 & 4 went for the SA-2 battalion and Spec Ops Battalion respectively. 3 successfully hit his targets ( on two passes) but 4 missed his.
Once 3 & 4 had finished and gone air to air, 1 & 2 went NOE to attack the runways. Unfortunately the known SA-14s and a newly discovered SA-15 battalion lit up the sky at us. 1 did not get any bombs away as he was shot down mear seconds before bomb release. 2 got hi bombs away before he too was shot down. Runway 33L was put out of action but 33R remains active.
3 & 4 RTB'd safely.
Calls were made about SA-15s on RWR from Falcon 3 but they did not register with me. My bad.
