Posted - 31 Aug 2020 : 14:11:45 In a follow up to the last mission, an identical package has been set up. In this case however, an enemy staging post has been discovered at Unari, with multiple tank, mechanised, infantry and support units all located at the same site. Well placed munitions at this point could have a devastating effect on the enemy's ability to attack our front.

Banshee 3 - 4 ship SEAD Spade 5 - 4 ship AI
MS - at least 20 kills at Unari and no losses to radar SAMs PS - at least 15 kills at Unari and a max of on loss to radar SAMs. |

MS
We took a mix of JSOW (#1), Mk20s (#2) and GBU39s (#3 & #4).
Uneventful climb to altitude and hold at IP awaiting call-forward by Banshee. Once cleared hot, #1, #3 and #4 carried out a coordinated attack on the battalions at the Tgt SPT, absolutely ruining their day. Meanwhile, #2 stripped and attacked a secondary battalion east of the IP, but due to the margin of error at altitude and the fact that the targets were moving, failed to hit. Nevertheless, a successful mission. #4 needed to RTB as soon as he was Dakota due to being short on fuel (caused by forgetting to raise his gear on take-off - don't worry we've all done it), so #1, #2 and #3 rejoined and RTB'd for a reasonable tidy Overhead Break, with #2 making the correct decision to go around as he was too high on sohrt final. Overall a good mission with good comms, well sorted targets and good coordination.
The 4 things a wingman is allowed to say:
1.Two 2.Lead, you're on fire. 3.I'm bingo fuel. 4.I'll take the fat one.... :/

Plan Provide CAP and engage any AD threats to AI. SA-17 identified 6nm NE of target area as primary threat.
Execution Approaching target area and SA-17 on RWR, advantage of having destroyed the Snowdrift search radar the previous mission. Unable to engage on first pass as targets were moving.
#1 fired HARM and destroyed 1x SA-17, ##2 and 3 did the same. #4 also fired on an SA-17 but only damaged it. Engagement with JSOW was more difficult due to SA-17 targets moving. #1, #3 and #4 all missed but #2 managed to hit an SA-10 unit further to the East.
Once attacks were completed flight RTB’d and completed an Overhead Break onto R19.

1221st to 1225th Infantry battalion (28 in each battalion)
143rd to 145th Mech battalion (32 units in each)
222nd to 224th and 262nd Mech battalion (32 units in each)
225th Motor rifle battalion (42 units in this battalion)
85th Supply battalion (12 units in this outfit)
That gives a total of 418 units to kill!
