Satan1 - Escort 4x F-16C-40 Beast1 - AI 4x F-16C-40
Having fought off the enemy air strikes we have small window of opportunity to push back enemy tank battalions pushing South towards Khafji. Despite a low cloud base we must strike while we have the opportunity and slow the enemy advance.
Beast1 is AI. Kill box is marked, you are authorized to engage any enemy ground units in this AO. If target ID is possible, priority is armour, then BMP, then Air Defence. MANPADS and AAA are expected.
Satan1 is Escort for Beast1. There are still significant numbers of enemy aircraft North of the AO. Setup a CAP and ensure Beast1 is able to complete their mission.
Friendly coverage of Hawk, Skyguard and Patriot to South.
Red air: MiG-29A, MiG-23, MiG-21, Mirage F1EQ, MiG-27, Su-20, Su-22, Su-24M, Su-25
MS - No losses to Beast1 from Air threats, 8 ground units destroyed PS - Max 1 loss to Beast1 from Air threats, 4 ground units destroyed
Note that cloud base in the AO is expected to be around A5 and no targeting pods are available.

Posted - 27 Apr 2020 : 11:11:06 From Beast13:
Re-watching the stream you can clearly see Griffin get shot down (bottom left of my HUD at 29.20 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/603465825) but I was heads down looking for targets and it took me a few seconds to realise what was going on. Lesson learned: in this situation the whole flight was heads down with high risk of manpads and getting dangerously close. I suggest that for future mission, assuming we follow the same profile, someone should always have an eye out for launches. In this case, this should've been me instead of focusing on another target.
After losing 11 and being notified by Satan1 that the north was getting busy 12 and 13 switched their focus on finding targets of opportunities. Plan was to drop our ordnance asap on anything hostile around STP5, got AA and support Satan1. 13 got weapons on target while 12 had more troubles with several dry passes. While Beast13 held 20NM south of Satan1 position I lost datalink so I figured something had happened to Satan11 but had no idea of what shot him down. I hosted DL and shortly after that Beast12 also disappeared. Later informed that he took ground fire and had to RTB. Beast13 and Satan12 decided to RTB after dispatching a few amraams on Su-25s and incoming Mirage/Mig21s from the North. Egress uneventful. |

Took off , went 20 miles trail , cap went fairly smoothly and got settled into a groove . We were having trouble with AWACS seemed to be dropping in and out . Lots of air activity , got into a few scuffles with Mig 25's and Mirage . The cap was going well though good co ordination . It got a bit busy so we asked Beast flight to regress until it calmed down a bit . Then we had a group of what I thougth was mig 21's (turned out to be Su 25) close to Vosene had them locked TWS fired two 120's at them but both missiles went for Vosene and I shot him down . Which doesnt make sense for both as I was firing at 2 different targets so thats something I need to investigate .
So for me I'm gonna stick to RWS mode until I figure out whats going on in TWS.
Also 120's or the AI or both are acting very strangely according to Tacview so something else to look into .
And AWACS was in and out which also didnt help .
Good mission until I shot down Vosene , I'm now off to complete my remaining 3650 days of hard labour

Took off with modified load out of 6 x Rockeyes and 2 x AGM-65Gs each. We stuck a centreline tank on.
We were heavy and speed was restricted to around 300 knots, purely from lack of power in the climb. We levelled out at FL160 and proceeded to first attack. 1 and 2 went for a bomb run while 3 looked for the HQ battalion with his Maverics. I was at 5000ft for the bomb run but the targets had moved on, but I managed to clip the edge of a SA-13's range and down I went in a ball of flames.
