Posted - 26 Jan 2017 : 17:36:51 Our ground forces are consolidating and enemy battalions move on a north/south route in grid 4.6. They use Sep'o and 2nd Artillery Corps Base as depots en route and as replenisment bases.

From the above screen, showing the flight paths for all in this package, you can see both depots. For the success of this mission these need to be destroyed. This will give our ground units time to assemble and form a defensive line.
Snake2 and Stud2 are from the 912th squadron at Yeonchon while Viper2 and Weasel2 of the 911th squadron take off from Chongju AB.
Package 7197 Snake2 and Stud2 are four ship AI flights. MS for Snake2 is to destroy the Depot and Radar. PS will be awarded if the Depot is destroyed. MS for Stud2 is to destroy the Depot, Ammo Dump, Radar and Admin Building . PS will be awarded if the Depot and Ammo Dump is destroyed.
Weasel2 is the four ship SEAD escort and Package Commander. IDA will be from Weasel2. MS is no radar SAM losses to the strike flights, PS is given for one aircraft from strike flights destroyed.
Viper2 is the four ship escort. MS is no air losses to the package with a PS for two losses max.

The weather is fair at home plates and poor at the target as the weather system moves SE with more storms coming in from the north. Choose your weapons accordingly.

Uneventful mission, but took slightly too long to get the GBU 31's away. Took at least 3 passes. Echion had an incident on landing but vacated runway before ejecting.
Welcome to D-Boy on his first flight.

Uneventful INGRESS more-or-less on carat, target was overcast so BDA was not possible. After-action review shows all primary targets hit - Depot, Radar, and bridge NW of target - with several secondary items hit. While Stud2 was still on target, we picked up some MIGs inbound and turned to engage them. We downed one before seeing a large group of EuroFighters hot, so we decided to go cold and RTB. No issues recovering.
Welcome to D-Boy on his first 185th flight!!! |
