Posted - 19 Sep 2016 : 20:00:22 The focus of your efforts is to be switched back to the NW. Command is looking for an avenue through towards the capital city and we need their air defences weakened.

The above image shows your target area. We know that their are AAA and SA-11 sites all over this area. There is also rumour of an SA-10 to the far north. Your mission shall probably confirm this...
Fist 1 and Hunter 3 shall take off from Chongju and Jaguar 2 from Nowhere (Yechon) AB.
Package 19085 Fist 1 and Jaguar 2 are four ship DEAD flights. MS is for six targets per flight destroyed. PS will be awarded if four targets per flight are destroyed.
Hunter 3 is the four ship escort and Package Commander, tasked to protect the DEAD flights. IDA will be from this flight. MS no AA losses to the DEAD flights, PS for a maximum of two losses to the DEAD flights in total.
Time at Push Point (Steerpoint 4) Fist 1 at PP at 07:57:38hrs at FL240. IDM 1, VHF 1, tacan 11/74 Jaguar 2 at PP at 08:00:14hrs at FL220. IDM 2, VHF 2, tacan 16/79 Hunter 3 at PP at 07:55:31hrs at FL250. IDM 3, VHF 3, tacan 21/84
Flight path is fixed for mutual support.
The weather is still on the change and is expected to remain poor for the next few hours. Choose your weapons accordingly.
Good Hunting

Posted - 26 Sep 2016 : 16:52:13 My experience since U1-
The 10 may fire at 50-55 miles, but they do not track if you are 52+ miles away. They seem to go ballistic over your head.
My profile since 4.33.1 is: FL270+ - at ~50nm, burn in to about 45nm - magnum - turn & burn back to 52+ miles and fly an arc to keep the 10 active.
You will be fired upon, but you should outrun them to the tracking limit.
If 10s are in the brief, escorts should take a HAD and keep the 10 centered between the outer 2 rings. If no HAD is available, keep it in the outer ring of the RWR. |

According to ACMI it looks like the SA-10 appears on my RWR at 55nm. No missiles were fired at me or Zohrs.
Do we have some solid numbers on max range SA-10 will appear on RWR ? Will SA-10 missile kill outside 50nm? (It looked like it had plenty of kinetic energy (900ish knots) at 49.3nm)
The SA-10s seemed to be acting a bit funny last night.
When Zipgun and I snook up the West coast I couldn't see the Western 10 on my HAD, but could see the Eastern one which was further away. Whereas Poppy, who was further to the East could see the Western 10, but not the Eastern one.
There were also a couple of R73 missiles which appeared out of nowhere to shoot down one of Jaguar AI planes (after the technicals) |

Ingress uneventful. Set up a CAP more or less on the FLOT. Skies were clear so called the DEADs in. We picked up multiple SA-11 and one SA-10 spikes. I was guilty of encroaching too far into the engagement circle of the SA-10 at the cost of Floyd's aircraft. Big apologies for that Floyd.
Once "Miller Time" was called by all I called the global RTB and watched the six of the departing DEADs (although one was guilty of loitering). We spotted jamming contacts coming in from the north and as we did not know if they were friend or foe we encouraged the remaining aircraft to "get a shift on".
All flights got home and the landing and organisation was good at home plate to avoid confliction.

Ingress as fragged, focused on DEAD SA-10 with secondaries SA-11. Element stripped West to get a better position for the SA-10 west of Pyong'yang. First element was working the east SA-10. After multiple MAGNUM calls the SA-10's we're down and we went for the first available SA-11 SAM. RTB was called and we we're 2mikes late on egress but all RTB'd with two having lead on egress, Touch landing, but we managed to stick it :-)
