This week’s mission begins to mess with the DPRK supply chain. We are tasked to destroy high value structures at the Kaeson Textile Mill and destroy the Chungsan-dong Depot. Mission timing is important, because we have F-18 fighter cover and A-10 ground support. The A-10s will, hopefully, engage any remaining SA-11 launchers before our strike, as they are tasked to be on station @1400 hrs. Python1’s ToT should be ~1405 to benefit from their interdiction.

Python1 – 4 ship strike with JDAMs MS= Factory, Warehouse, and Depot destroyed … PS=Factory and Warehouse destroyed.

Serpent1 - 4 ship sweep escort – MS= No A-A losses to the package … PS= No A-A losses to Python1

Mobile SA-11s are in and north of the target area and the AI A-10s are tasked to S&D in the area. For extra safety, the package commander may choose to modify the loadouts for SEAD protection.

Additional fights can be added if attendance is good.

Flight Role: STRIKE, RESULT: MS

Python11: Sabre AA=0 AG=3 RTB
Python12: Fisty AA=0 AG=1 RTB
Python13: Vosene AA=0 AG=2 RTB
Python14: Mango AA=0 AG=1 RTB

ELOA Scruffy.

Largely uneventful, took off proceeded to target in 10 mile box formation. En route to SP4, before returning to SP3 and anchoring whilst Escort were busy. Cleared forward and engaged the target with our JDAMS.

One thing to note, the JDAMS are "s l o w", the 2nd element arrived at their firing solution before the 1st elements JDAMS had hit the target. Quick change of attack profile by Vosene and the BDA was received before taking any more shots at the destroyed target.

RTB's after ground weapons released, asked Escort if they needed assistance to cover their egress on way back, but not required.

Landed and parked.

Great job, comms were good, but from time to time had some problems hearing Drummer in AWACS, due to poor radio quality. Possible distance to AWACS?

Good flight, job done, all rtb, might need to look at parking though. LOL.

Flight Role: ESCORT, RESULT: MS

Serpent11: "Utopic" AA=2 AG=0 RTB
Serpent12: "Wildcat12" AA=1 AG=0 RTB
Serpent13: "Zipgun13" AA=4 AG=0 RTB
Serpent14: "Tank14" AA=1 AG=1 RTB
Serpent14: "Poppy14" AA=1 AG=1 RTB

Engaged bandits right after regrouping over Seoul. Were setup in box, and naturally started a grinder. That worked out all right, and engaged several waves of bandits, before the strike flight was cleared in.

After Python1 was RTB we engaged a last wave of bandits and then we RTBed ourselves.

Good mission.

Thanks, Drummer, for providing AWACS.

Good mission, good comms, good results

I doubt I'll be making it again tomorrow I'm afraid.
Fisty Posted - 09 Jul 2016 : 11:19:19
If Scruffy and Sabre can't make it and I end up flight lead again, I'm ok with taking the Strike flight.

BLUE is in accordance and we would like to volunteer for the SWEEP. With 4 pilots (1 -me- left to fill a seat on another)
