The vote this week again has us on a multi target deep strike package in the NW.

STRIKE/DEEP STRIKE
The deep Strike flight will attack Sunch'on nuclear plant and depot and shall be Black (Cowboy 1). Blue (Falcon 1) shall fly the Strike to destroy P'yongsong nuclear plant and P'yongsang depot.

Green will fly Fury 1 on Escort duty.

There is a further two-ship AI flight, Lobo 1 that shall be for additional pilots.

Package number is 17796.

The route is fixed for all, with all with the exception of target and CAP points for AI and Escort respectively. Timings to the target are set as follows;

Cowboy 1 : TO 1915, SP4 1922 (A28), SP7 (tgt) 1937 (A18)
Laser Codes 1688 to 1691

Fury 1 : TO 1910, SP4 1919 (A30), SP6 (cap) 1933 (A30)

Falcon 1 : TO 1912, SP4 1922 (A27), SP7 (tgt) 1937 (A18)
Laser Codes 1670 to 1673

Lobo 1 : TO 1914, SP4 1924 (A26), SP6 1939 (A19)

Weapon choice is free, with the usual exceptions.

Package commander on this shall be the Escort lead.

Mission Success
Strikes - Both nuclear plants and the depot destroyed with no losses to ground fire.
Escort - No losses to strikes flights to enemy air assets.
AI - Two buildings destroyed per aircraft

Partial Success
Strikes - Both nuclear plants destroyed with no losses to ground fire.
Escort - One loss to strike flights from enemy air assets.
AI - One building destroyed per aircraft

The SU-27s and MiG-29S's from Nanchodka are active but limited in numbers so be alert. Enemy aircraft can be expected from the NW in China.

AWACs will be on station but may be out of range for info as you reach the northern most targets.

We'd been CTD'd so didn't hear anything, hence my calls on TS.

I called on U15 that we still had a pilot in the air, but maybe the other flight didn't get it because they were at a different airfield?

I asked fisty to check with all on U15 - may be missed the call.

I was in falcon the first flight parked, and I know there was a check if we all had landed as per 'SOP' we exit then simultaneous. Could it be after that skid after landing the radio wasn't working?

Flight Role: Escort
Fury11: "Ironman" AA=2 AG=0 RTB
Fury12: "Mango" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
Fury13: "Fisty" AA=2 AG=0 RTB
Fury14: "AI" AA=0 AG=0 Sent home

Mission Outcome: MS

Good take off and join for push point stp4 - Time over Steer point unrealistic for anyone T+4mins best we could do.

Ingress - we were getting a good number of BRA calls for the AI flight Lobo 1 but these were low level rotary and no factor. However we did get a call for a bogey at A3 which Fisty was sent to investigate - no factor package informed.

Encountered 2x J7's over target area - one dispatch immediately by Ironman one tried to egress south but was nailed by Fisty. Target area now clear so strike packages could strut their stuff.

Once strike packages off target 2x J7 encountered from North so rather than have them chase us all the way home they too were dispatched.

Landing was interesting Ironman had some pauses and blue script just when you done want them and ended up parked on the grass but intact. Mango was told to exit sim prior to landing as all other flights were now out of sim and waiting for us. I think we need a protocol for existing the sim ???

All in all a good flight although the results for the two strike flight were "different".

On the up side there were no combat losses this week.

Flight role: Deep Strike
Cowboy 11: "Griffin" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
Cowboy 12: "Veiland" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
Cowboy 13: "Flying Stone" AA=0 AG=? RTB
Cowboy 14: "Zohrs" AA=0 AG=? RTB

Mission outcome: MF

We took off and got the the target without issue.
We noted that despite changing the laser codes for our LGB 10Cs in the 2D screen and DTC we had lost them by the time we got in the pit. We manually changed them on the DED by punching LIST, 0, 5 on the ICP and entering the codes. I made the error of leaving the AG mode in TRNG instead of CMBT (which you change by pressing ICP 0. Consequently our bombs missed.

3 and 4 went to the depot and one of them got the kill but it will need a review of the ACMI to know what happened.

Then we had the debacle of Veiland getting court martialled for hitting a taxi way sign at 6000ft!, FS blowing up mid air and me hitting a truck in the middle of the runway when I landed.

Bobbin's!

Flight Role: STRIKE
Falcon11: "Utopic" AA=0 AG=2 RTB
Falcon12: "Zipgun" AA=0 AG=2 RTB
Falcon13: "Poppy" AA=0 AG=1 RTB
Falcon14: "Floyd" AA=0 AG=1 RTB

Mission Outcome: MS

We took off, formed in flight, released as briefed, took out everything we had to and then returned and landed.

The escort kept the skies clear for us, taking out at least 1 enemy flight that was over the target area.

Good flight.
