The vote this week has us on Air Interdiction in the central FLOT area.

Air Interdiction - Central FLOT
AI flights shall be Black (Fury 1) from Teagu and Blue (Python 1) from Pohang. Green (Shark 1) shall be on Escort duty from Pohang.

Package number is 13342.

The route shown below is fixed for all, with all steerpoint ID's to the target being the same for everyone. Timings are also important for SPs 3 (Hold point) and 8 (first target) but I appreciate that getting to them in reality may be difficult, so a Rolex plus 3 or 4 minutes is likely.

For guidance, TOT for SP3;
Shark 1 (Green) : 11:57 (A28)
Python 1 (Blue) : 12:01 (A25)
Fury 1 (Black) : 11:59 (A26)

and for SP5, TOT is;
Shark 1 (Green) : 12:03 (A28)
Python 1 (Blue) : 12:07:37 (A16)
Fury 1 (Black) : 12:06 (A16)

Weapon choice is free, with the usual exceptions. A suggested load out has been prepared.

Package lead on this shall be the Escort lead.

Fig 1 - Units of Interest and their condition

Targets are moving so may be difficult to find.
Black flight shall attack the 3rd Towed Gun Battalion (Primary) and the 2nd Support Artillery Battalion to the north.
Blue flight shall hit 3rd Corp Artillery Battalion (Primary) and the 2nd Mech Battalion.

Mission Success
AI - A minimum of 4 kills per aircraft.
Escort - No losses to AI flights from enemy air assets

Partial Success
AI - A minimum of 2 kills per aircraft.
Escort - Max of two losses to AI flights from enemy air assets

----------------------------------------------------------------
If we have enough pilots we can throw in an extra job to destroy both runways at Koksan, although I believe this is not a feasible option with the increase of air activity from China.

Happy flying.

Flight Role: AI
PYTHON11: "ZIPGUN" AA=0 AG=2 RTB
PYTHON12: "VOSENE" AA=0 AG=1 RTB
PYTHON13: "POPPY" AA=0 AG=6 RTB

Mission Outcome: PS

Same as FURY, we could not boresight during INGRESS, so we decided to proceed using WPN mode. As we approached, we noticed FURY on a collision course so we turned to deconflict. we held waiting for the go-ahead from SHARK. Once cleared in we thougth we had adequate separation from FURY, but the ACMI shows we were too close. FURY had not found targets at their STP, so they attacked what they could see. As it turns out, Elmo and I attacked the same targets, a few seconds apart ... he got the kills. We had no idea, until reviewing the ACMI, that we were overlapping, we should consider this possibility in future mission briefs.

Fury11: "Elmo" AA=0 AG=6 RTB
Fury12: "Floyd" AA=0 AG=5 RTB
Fury13: "Griffin" AA=0 AG=0 EJT

Mission Outcome: PS

After take off tried to boresight mavericks but only 2 was able to boresight due to low cloud level. Proceeded to target where the briefed weather was due to be better but found cloud cover down angles 10. Pressed the attack and 1 and 2 managed to get missiles off on first pass but 3 came off dry, continued with wagon wheel attack and on second attack run 3 got hit by AAA leading to him ejecting. 1 and 2 finished their attacks and then RBT'd with no issues on return.

Escort

Shark 11: "Ironman" 1-0 EJT
Shark 12: "Mango" 0-0 RTB
Shark 13: "Sabre" 1-0 RTB
Shark 14: "Fist" 3-0 RTB

Ingress went well, multiple fights between RED/BLUE at STP IP.

Multiple contacts picked up after that and it developed into two distinct fights - put strike flight on hold at IP.

After 1 got shot down 3 called in strike flight.

Then RTB - confusion at home plate due to Shark not landing as a package and Python had to wave off.

Mission out come - MS
