Flight leads in this Sunday's official campaign mission, "Korean 4.33 Part 3" are requested to post a debrief of their flights actions, including any lessons learned or that should be learned by others.

I'm going to take the blame for that messed up landing: that was me. I overshot you and Vosene on finals, CTD'd and almost clipped (I believe) Flyingstone. I had lag and -was not/could not be- aware; or else offcourse this would not have happened: lag, ctd, i was not in control at that time.

Mission Outcome:MF
Arrived at Champ and held while first 2 flights attacked designated SA-2 sites. Lots of Mig activity North & West but none that took any interest in us at this point.
Once cleared to take a look for any enemy AD units we confirmed that there were none showing on the HTS, and hadn't been at any time while on hold. Informed Package commander and were instructed to RTB.
1 & 2 turned South towards Stp 8, Home Plate. However 3 had some sort of avionics issue that put his Stp-8 to the North. This caused an element of delay in turning South at a time when the hordes of Migs were upon us, which then resulted in #4 being hit by Mig-29's.
Once regrouped we orbited enroute and checked with Package Commander if Cowboy 2x needed assistance as they were skirmishing. None was needed so we RTB's.
On approach we had a 2nd flight zipper in on the final approach causing minor distraction. See image below.

Uneventful ingress, #1 did not have recon'd STPs so I had to turn cold - 2, 3, 4 delivered weapons by the briefed plan. Eventually, 2 and 4 seemed to move a little far north while supporting my A-G attack an I called them back to STP-3. The scores do not represent the accurate damage done to ground targets and some IVC issues were reported. |
