Posted - 23 Nov 2015 : 16:49:14 That soldier is getting a Court Martial as soon as he gets out of the hospital and I'm pretty sure I saw a rather bedraggled Fisty in the back of the Herc poking holes in Poppy's brand new tanks.

Posted - 23 Nov 2015 : 11:00:25 Nah the Hercules was bringing in fresh drop tanks to replace those Poppy dropped during his mishap. Speedy delivery too it seems. |

Posted - 23 Nov 2015 : 09:44:32 Is that the equivalent of shooting themselves in the foot so that they won't have to go to the front line? A little extreme to get yourself run over by an F-16, but hey, what ever floats your boat!
I wonder if he was really waiting for the Hercules?!

Posted - 23 Nov 2015 : 08:18:13 I saw one of them lying down in the grass next to the runway, just before take-off. I thought at the time that it was a nice touch, added to 4.33 for realism! lol |

There was debris in the right lane ...
It was a soldier from an infantry battalion on it's move to an army camp nearby. I admit they look like debris from the pit ;-) |

Mission Outcome: MS (no losses to package)
Ingress getting ahead of package, some IDM issues but turning north to the CAP area we we're all green with good SA. Formation was not good and we decided to resolve it in the initial turns on the hot/cold legs. CAP in place, strike went in and we scanned north and west/east. Listening to AWACS we controlled the block of airspace.
Egress we had first element providing rear security and second element positioned west between Wonsan and the package, egressed and confirmed picture clear for the package to proceed as fragged (no divert needed). - accidental blue on blue by snake 11 happened here -
Strecht to home plate we had a 2x IL-28 coming in from the north heading south. We blocked their position and we're able to engage. Second element had point and First element scanned in support and spotted the two MiG-21 escorts. sorting targets we dispersed of them quickly, including a risky 50% CAF shot to delouse snake14. All good, headed home on a overhead break 350x1500, had to extend the downwind behind a c-130 bringing in the band, plus a nice smoke dispay by mr. Airshow :-) and we all we're back with chocks on.
First mission in 4.33!

Mission Outcome: MS (both runways destroyed)
Plan Destroy parallel runways at Toksan. Ingress plan was to move out to sea away from the FLOT, go low level 50nm from target, parallel runway attack using BLU-107 then low-level egress and then back to medium altitude over the sea for the journey home with an overhead break onto R20.
Execution Checked right 20nm on ingress as advised by Escort to avoid threats near the FLOT. Combat descent over sea 50nm from target. Once feet dry No 3 crashed into a ridge due to distraction, work required on low-level flying and use of TFR. No 1 re-briefed the attack plan and the flight went in trail, No 1 destroyed the left runway, No 2 & 4 the right.
During egress No 4 was accidentally shot down by Snake11, this will be discussed in the BMS Issues forum as it appears to be a bug/switchology issue.
No 1 & 2 joined in behind Serpent1 for an overhead break for R20. Points - ensure break is in the briefed direction, keep the circuit tight.
There was debris in the right lane, which we avoided and we also de-conflicted with AI C-130 traffic.
Overall Good comms between Flights and good SA.

Posted - 22 Nov 2015 : 22:04:54 Flight Role: SEAD STRIKE Serpent11: "Griffin" AA=0 AG=2 RTB Serpent12: "Floyd" AA=0 AG=2 RTB Serpent13: "Veiland" AA=0 AG=2 RTB Serpent14: "Flying Stone" AA=0 AG=1 RTB
Mission Outcome: MS
We took off in elements, regrouping at 300kts then accelerating to 350. Climbed slowly to FL250 but climbed higher to FL270 in time of the attack. We approached in offset box.
We noted that the OCA were a long way behind us. Snake set up a CAP and we started on our SEAD mission. I took out two Fan Song F's at the air base and to the west, 2 hit the AAA targets and 3 and 4 hit the SA-2's to the south.
We then set up a north-south CAP until the OCA departed the area. No action there.
On approaching home plate we got the call of IL-28's and MiG in the area, but the Escort took care of them. We flew a Battle Break over the base to check on the runway in case the IL-28's had done any damage. We then landed and parked.
A nice mission. Comms between flight pilots and the package were good and kept my SA high. Good element lead by Veiland too.
My only issue was the bandwidth demands which test my crappy service.
