Really was a milk run TBH. We took off, re-joined and held in finger 4 until the IP then split into elements for our attacks once the all clear as given by the escorts.
Attacks were nominal and we RTB’d at gate of straight in landings on 2 runways (sorry about breach of SOP, that’s on me I clean forgot it was back to OHB).
Notes: - Good package coms. - Good flight coms. - Great formation flying from Zipgun and a notciable improvement in formation flying and SA from Tank (very well done tank). - It is worth double checking targets within each element both before take off, at IP and before pickle………
Well that’s it for me, no more 4.32 for this call sign! Bring on 4.33 (I am LOA for the next 2 weeks).

Rather unenventful. Picture clear to begin with, thus strike (Turkey1) went straight for their targets. We began to pick up hostiles, but they got blown out of the sky by AI by the time we got there. #2 picked up a bomber and did not only fail to bring it down but was lightly damaged in the process by the rear gunner (Oh the shame!...) This was happening about the time Millertime (Why such a weak US beer?, why not "Chimay Cinq Cents Tripel Time" or just "3CT Time"?) was called, and while #2 was busy I picked up Satan12 (Ironman) chasing a Mig23 which I kindly assisted shooting down ... Good coms on recovery, we did a in orbit 360 and landed last.

Mission Outcome: MS
On first launching the mission, both Crowebar and Mango had Falcon crashes which required mission restarts. On relaunching the TE Crowebar got in ok, but Mango again had a crash. The mission continued without Mango.
Both Vosene and Crowebar were experiencing game lags and slow or no control responses. For my part, it seemed that everytime I operated a hotas control the command also changed my VHS radio to channel 4.
We briefed on 1st element attacking the depot at steerpoint 3 with 1 X Mk 84 each, in trail before progressing to steerpoint where #1 would attack the radar station, while 2 attacked the TV station, again with Mk 84. Prior to reaching steerpoint 3 the flight would split with the 2nd element heading North West to steerpoint 5 to attack the 3 depots.
1st element run in on 1st targets went well with both bombs finding their mark and destroying the depot. Continuing to steerpoint 4 #2 had a good run in and destroyed his target. #1 however was not ready in time for the short distance between targets and just missed the CCRP release cue. Going around I found that the weapon wouldn't release on my 2nd pass. Tried a 3rd pass and weapon still wouldn't release despite having double checked all switches, flying straight and level etc.
At this point #3 reported having similar technical issues over his target, with all correct release parameters his weapons wouldn't drop. As steerpoint 5 depots were deemed to be higher value within the campaign #1 diverted to steerpoint 5 and tried a low level CCIP release. On first pickle weapon wouldn't release, so silly me I pressed it again in frustration and the bomb released, but beyond the target.
Flight rejoined for return leg and once safe formed echelon right for formation practice. All landed safely.

Posted - 09 Nov 2015 : 13:34:06 Got the mig but not soon enough - to be fair to Griff I only knew the Mig was there as I looked at a smoking F16 and it flew into view - no RWR warning of Mig 23 for me either just Mk 1 eyeball.

Mission Outcome: MS
A fairly uneventful ingress. Package comms were good so SA was good too. When on CAP we picked up some leakers which turned out to be Tu-16's and IL-28s. We engaged them. I spotted a flash of a 23 on my RWR which disappeared. So I ignored it. More fool me. As I shot down one of the bombers one of the 23's that had sneaked behind me shot me down with two missiles. Interestingly I didn't get any "Archer inbound" calls.
Ironman avenged my demise and also took down one of the bombers. He regrouped with Mongo flight and as the strikes finished the skies started to get busy with MiG 23's so they all returned home for tea and crumpets.
Lessons learned - Don't get target fixated and always check an RWR blip.
