Flight Role: DCA
Callsign11: Poppy AA=3 KIA
Callsign12: Zipgun AA=0 EJT
Callsign13: Tank AA=2 RTB

Diverted after initial to Tu-16's that hit our taskforce. Zipgun lost an argument with the tailgunner. flight config intact but he bought the farm.
Northbound afterward and regroup in a two ship.
Inbound on the IP (behind 7 min. on ETA) Stud3 and Weasel3 we're introuble and suffering casualties. We we're in a position to support, and tried so from the east to west leg.
UHF saturated, gradual loss of SA (unconsciously) led to breaking MER and MAR and loss of no1. 2 planes (Tank, Sharpe) RTB'd out of 9.

POINTS:
- More in-depth debrief is needed to be able to distinguish between cause and reaction.
- Lack of central command (human AWACS -- Package command) did not aid in orchestration.
- No plan survives the first contact with the enemy. Adjust briefs accordingly.

ACMI is in the file browser, her're mine:

Stud32: "Sharpe" AA=2 AG=0 RTB
Stud33: "Sabre" AA=1 AG=0 EJT
Stud34: "Mango" AA=0 AG=0 EJT

After takeoff we climed to A22 and went trail before our IP. Enemy contact spotted from the North and 1+2 engaged getting two shots off on enemy before turning back to IP, 3+4 advised to proceed to IP. Called fall back to our SE, 1+2 turned in hot back towards bullseye and advised 3+4 fall in behind. More contacts spotted W of our IP, advised not to proceed past IP, 1+2 engaged Mig-29, 1 turned off dry, 2 got shots off and turned off cold, 3+4 proceeded to engage enemy. Unfotunatly 1 had to go defensive while on the cold leg, hit and ejected. 3+4 proceeded toward IP, 3 fired shot and turned to fall in behind 2, unfotunatly 3+4 got missle inbound and got shot down. 2 advised by Chalice to RTB.

Flight Role: DCA
Weasel31: "Griffin" AA=2 AG=0 EJT
Weasel32: "Floyd" AA=1 AG=0 EJT

Mission Outcome: MF

Our task was to watch the western stretch of the FLOT for aircraft from the west. We climbed to FL260 with intentions of setting a CAP up.

Viper 3 were diverted to attack TU-16s and Stud were heavily engaged. we offered to help but the closer we got to them the busier the FCR became.

We soon became busy with J-11s and SU-24s. I took down one of each while avoiding one missile. Floyd in No2 did the same with one J-11.

The numbers were too high on the enemy side and we both succumbed to AA-12s and enjoyed the views for our silks.

Maybe we should have tried to go around the south coast and kill an airfield as suggested during the pre-flight discussion.
