Flight leads in this Sunday's official campaign mission, "Korean Campaign 4" are requested to post a debrief of their flights actions by Tuesday, including any lessons learned or that should be learned by others.

According to our plan we've proceeded along the west coast.
Close to the target area the first element prepared to engage
a pair of Mig-29, when two MiG-23 showed up on RWR. We handed
the 29's to Falcon and the 23's to the second element, that time
in a very good position because they flew 20nm in trail.
While flying south, the first element suddenly made contact
with a group of MiG-21, started to drop flares and could shoot
the bandits down.
At a phase without engagements we regrouped to a north-south
CAP which we moved further to the north, because some active shooters
showed up (only 2 of them were shot down, but we flew very
conservative attacks).
Griffin called out a 4-ship MiG-19 and gave good sorting info.
All bandits killed with 4 missiles.
I found the comms pretty good, always room for improvement,
especially when AWACS talks, all flights should listen and
not talk on VHF. AWACS calls could be more direct, like:
Shark9, 4-ship SU-27, 125 for 14 at 27, hot
Other than that, excellent flight discipline and a memorable flight!

Falcon9 were delayed on takeoff due to Crowebar having major technical problems including comms & trying to get that information over to rest of flight. #3 took lead for takeoff and took flight up to STP2. #1 rejoined successfully and took control of flight from STP2. This delayed both Cowboy9 & Falcon9 departure towards STP3, allowing Sharke9 to press ahead to the North East.
We first encountered a pair of mig-29's near STP4, 1st element turned cold due to MAR breach, 2nd element followed through, engaged and splashed migs.
Almost immediately 3 Mig-19's appeared on the scene and were engaged by #3 & #4, who splashed 2 before going cold. 2rd mig had turned cold but was conveniently following our flight path allowing #1 to take a shot & kill him.
Following my earlier restart I had all modified flight path etc in DTC, but all PPT info was missing so had to rely on #2 to keep me from trespassing (which I did, and he did a few times!)
There followed a lull in the action during which we called Cowboy9 forward, and maintained a North/South cap. When the call came through from Cowboy for a delouse from the Mig-23's, #3 & #4 were on their hot leg and nearest Cowboy9 and so were able to engage fairly quickly to take care of these migs. We then had more AI aircraft arrive at the scene and tried to declare these with Challis but the comms were a bit saturated at this point, however #4 was able to identify them as friendlies using his TGP.
Following a call from Cowboy9 that they had done all they could, the package RTB'd. There was a bit of confusion about landing order due to fuel issues, which resulted in elements of Cowboy9 merging with Falcon9 at the same altitude while in a holding pattern, so Falcon9 immediately de-conflicted to the East. Once Shark9 were clear of the runway we made a straight in approach in trail to land on runway 20 safely in the 14 knot crosswind.
Towards the end of the mission when orbiting for landing #3 reported quite severe warping that continued throughout his approach. Thankfully he landed safely.
Good job by AWACs, however comms was a bit saturated by constant updates.

Took off as fragged and went into a climbing anchor above our STP2 waiting for Flacon 9 to take off and proceed ahead.
Thence into the target area. It was clear that the area over STP2 was highly contested, which was no issue as we were quite a way back. As we got closer to STP4 its seemed the air space was still very busy so we started to turn nose cold, but were told to proceed by Challis.
As we moved past our release point lead saw a target low on the scope and chose to engage it. Cowboy9 lead element proceeded against an SA5 to the north west and engaged it successfully. At the same time lead move to the north. At this point two SA2's popped up well within their kill envelope, so lead took two defensive shots against them and turned towards STP4.
During the next few minutes both Cowboy9 elements were patrolling the area for SAM's but they were not showing up to play. Towards the trail end of this period the second element were progressing North West into the SAM area when Mig-23's took off and turned hot onto 3 and 4. Lead told 3 and 4 to green lane towards STP4 while 1 and 2 provided cover. At the same time Lead called for a delouse while 1 and 2 got a shot off against a Mig-23 and also turned cold for STP4.
Having had Falcon9 delouse (thanks guys!) we reviewed our situation as a flight. With fuel getting close to joker, SAM's not willing to show up and play and with aircraft scrambling to engage us Lead felt it was time to call it a day and broadcast this to the package lead. The RTB was called and we proceeded home.
Airspace was very confused over the airbase. We cleared Shark9 to land as number 1 due to fuel shortages but things broke down between Falcon9 and Cowboy. However, we got there in the end (and dodged the AI trying to kill us during our pattern) and did a straight in approach (just to get down on the ground).
All things told I would like to say comms within Green Flight were excellent and all the pilots flew a really disciplined flight so I would like to thank them all for that.
