Flight Role: CAS (should have been Interdiction)
Python11: "Griffin" AA=0 AG=3 RTB
Python12: "Floyd" AA=0 AG=4 RTB
Python13: "Jack" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
Python14: "Veiland" AA=0 AG=3 RTB

Mission Outcome: MS

Took off and climbed to FL25 in box formation.

At our "IP" 3 and 4 set up a CAP while 1 and 2 went in to find the tanks. I found them quite quickly (there's a novelty) and sent all AGM 65Ds on their way in one pass. Floyd in No2 did the same. We turned away south to stay away from the SA11 and SA13 spikes we were getting. I killed 3x T-90 tanks and Floyd killed 3 x T-90 and 1 x BMP.

1 and 2 climbed back to FL27 to take over the CAP at SP3 while Jack and Veiland in 3 and 4 went in for their attack.

Jack found the targets from the smoke attributed to 1 and 2's attacks and commenced his attack. Strangely he scored no hits on the targets. Veiland had trouble finding the targets at first and had to make multiple passes. He dropped below the designated hard deck of Fl15 and had one SA13 sent his way, but happily it did not bother him too much.

Once the targets were found he released his Mavericks and killed 3 x T-90s.

We regrouped and I called Panther for an update on their situation. Utopic informed me that they were still heads down so we set up a 20 mile clock wise CAP while they finished. The only enemy air that came our way was Su-25's which we left alone.

Once Panther called "off target" we regrouped and returned to home plate for a very nicely co-ordinated overhead break which had us doing the break as Panther were landing. Nice.

Lessons learned:
1. Do not drop stores in Campaign missions as it effects the squadron stores (that includes flares!!)
2. Choose the right kind of mission. This was set up as a CAS and as far as Falcon was concerned it was a mission failure. This effects the way the other forces react. I should have created Interdiction or BAI flights to get the right result for our efforts.

Flight Role: CAS

Callsign12: "Zipgun" AA=0 AG=9 RTB
Callsign13: "Vosene" AA=0 AG=1 RTB

Mission Outcome: MS

Good, simple mission. On the way to the target Vosene took out an SA11, while myself and Zipgun started dropping Rockeyes on the enemy vehicles.

I had planned to release in a ripple of two, but after the results of the first pass, realized that I was wasting munitions and switched to single releases.

For some reason, in spite of good lock, Vosene's Mavericks missed, but none the less, after depleting AG stores, he provided air cover for the rest of the flight.

Python flight was also AA before we could get rid of all our bombs so they CAPped watching the skies, but there ware no enemy intercept flights.

Good flight.
