Sorry about late comment: Zipgun and I with IA did take off at AP as briefed. No problem with any Migs. Good work by the way. At close Wp3 I did get a spike from Mig29, asked Zip to check 6 and no joy. After wp3 did some attempt to go to wp4 (target) but due to a lot of music (A2A and A2G) I decide stay at wp3 and send AI home. After asking FL for clearness, we go ahead to Wp4. Then all the MUD lightens up and sends all their power on us. Zip went down first. Quote 4 missiles on his tail. My selves only 3. Cloud level was high. I could not see them coming. RWR was some help at first but…. During this time we did not get “Dark Nights” We did not fly with “music on” Might be a factor. Zip made a very fine work, stayed close and answers all may “Blurry” calls. Lessons: I would stay longer at Wp3 evaluate the situ. I will ask Zip for advice in future during flight. Should use IA to take out ground targets before send them to HP. Best regards and “Crash&Burn”

And part 2 is ready to go, making part 1 seem like a stroll in a deserted town. Muahahahaha!

Flight Role: SEAD
Gypsy11: "Sharpe" AA=2 AG=1 RTB
Gypsy12: "Skal" AA=1 AG=2 RTB

Mission Outcome: PS

Proceeded to target area as briefed. Flew into the target area slightly behind Shark6, first group/line of SA2's were not active so we proceeded forward to the target area as fragged while Shark6 went on overwatch for pop up SAM's and AA threats. Both pilots destroyed 2 SA5's at the target location.

Then things started to get fairly messy with lots of air cluttering the picture. We bravely retreated away from the target area when we got spiked by MIG-29's just north of the target retrograded south of the target area until we were level with the strike flight.

At this point Skal destroyed a live SA2 that popped up well to the east of the flight route. Moving back over to the target area both pilots engaged and destroyed an assortment of aircraft just north of the target (presumably trying to land). Sharpe took a shot against a live SA2, but the HARM missed for unexplained reasons.

Upon hearing the strike flight hit their target Gypsy began to go back towards home to provide high level CAP for any air threats. Identifying 2 J5's in the area Gypsy flight was engaging the bandits just as both pilots dropped out of the sever simultaneously.

Big shout out to Skal, great flying mate, and to all the other flight leads, package comms seemed particularly good this evening despite the complicated battlespace.

Fun mission, nice to have lots of 'unknown factors' and a very complicated battlespace.

Flight Role: Deep Strike
Serpent61: "Veiland" AA=1 AG=1 KIA
Serpent62: "Flyingstone" AA=3 AG=0
Serpent63: "Floyd" AA=1 AG=1
Serpent64: "Griffin" AA=2 AG=1

Mission Outcome: PS
Followed the flightplan, over the ocean we got mig29a contact 30 miles at our 2 o'clock, and since we where at the tail of the package 1 and 2 attempted to enage, but target faded before we could enage. Catching up with 3 and 4 we got mig 21 nails on our 6 o'clock and asked 3 and 4 to sanitize behind us resulting in 2 kills.
Nearing our IP a 4 ship mig-29a flight was observed over target area, and asked escort to engage them.
A bit too much was going on, so being the strike element we retrograded about 20 miles and reaccessed the situation.
At this point sead flights had expanded their harms but multiple sa-2 threats still remained. We decided to procsecute the attack but communication failed and we ended up attacking from both high and low altitude, destroying 3 runway segments.
On the egress we engaged with mig21's and downed these as well, though Veiland (me) managed to fly straight into the ground all by himself, being low and too slow.
Rest of the flight returned safely.

Flight Role: ESCORT
Callsign11: "Utopic" AA=3 AG=0 TECH
Callsign12: "Ironman" AA=2 AG=0 MIA

Mission Outcome: PS

On the was the skies were relatively clear. I started looking for SAMs and fired at an SA2 east of the flight plan, but missed. Continued looking for targets but couldn't see any of the reconned targets. Later on fired at a different SA2 west of the flight-plan, that one missed too. We were getting 29s coming from the north, north-east so I asked Ironman to get rid of his AGM88s which he did. For himself as well, they all missed

He was shot down by a 29 pop-up from his 6. I ended up attacking 2 different 29s coming on the six of Gipsy and took them out.

Called Winchester, went on to RTB and then was part of a collective TECH and dropped out of the mission.
