Nothing to report enroute. Over the target area (between our waypoints 3-4) we set up a clockwise circuit and monitored the crowded skies for bandits. We had no issues with SAMs until the end, when pursuing a SU25 I got too close to the SA17 and got one missile inbound. Fortunately I evaded that and since the CAP time was up and had lots of fuel, we decided to RTB to homeplate.
Good flying, guys! |

Mission Outcome: PS
Flew towards target and let escort deal with some bogeys, then got a two ship of SU27 which Karet and myself took care of, then a pair of SU33 were right behind them so I fired a quick shot and said to turn cold. Karet then called that he was defensive and believe he was shot down. Griffin then continued in as we were cold and also got a shot off at those SU33 but I think they were already taken care of. We then continued to target with Griffin taking out the SA6 and an SA4 and myself dropping bombs on the AAA at target. Karet rejoined in No. 4 and I think he got the other SA4, after that we set up a CAP and waited until the time was up and RTB'd at Heaju.

Ingress was uneventful. After the SEAD flight knocked out the Firecan radar, we went in hot on the bridge.
Once off target, we engaged 2xSu27s, with Floyd shooting one down. After that, we tracked an Su25, but it was too far within the SA17 for us to be able to engage it.
RTB to alternate was uneventful, apart from the occasional crazy tank driving across the threshold.
Good mission Floyd! |
