Flight Role: SEAD ESCORT
Banshee41: "Floyd" AA=1 AG=1 EJT

The ingress was uneventful, flying low as briefed. Approx. 80 miles
to the target we got up to 25k with a group of bandits to the east,
announced by AWACS. Cleared by Hunter that this is not a factor, we
started our attack runs on the SA-2 and SA-3 east/west to the flight
route. We left incoming Mig-21 from the south to the Hunter flight and
regrouped north to the target area. Then AWACS announced a group
of two MiG-29S from the west. #1 and #2 went hot and could shoot one
down, when, due to re-programming the HOTAS for TS broadcast before TO,
#1's controls went out of sync and a missile couldn't be spoofed.
The flight rejoined with #3 as lead and RTB'd. |

I believe you meant #2 here 1st engagement: 2 ship Mig21 east of target, 2 ship Mig29S west of Target. 3 aircrafts downed, lost #4. Remainder 29 downed #3 before being taken down.

Mission Outcome: MS
Mission Plan: Fly low until STP3, then get high, establist 060/240 TARCAP over the target once SAMS were taken down.
Excecution-Shots Made: Flew as fragged until STP2.
1st engagement: 2 ship Mig21 east of target, 2 ship Mig29S west of Target. 3 aircrafts downed, lost #4. Remainder 29 downed #2 before being taken down.
2nd engagement: 2 ship Mig21;s. Downed by #3
3th engagement: Mig21 popup at #1's 6. SEAD deloused, #1 downed remainder
4th engagement: 4 ship Mig 29's west of the target. Downed in conjunction with SEAD flight.
Monitored another 2ship Mig29 engagement by SEAD west of the target
20 minute TARCAP and uneventful RTB
Lessons learned: Respect the MAR. When unable to lock, pump, don't get preocupied with the radar or you will quickli find yourself in the no escape zone.
Excellent comms, SA and teamwork with the SEAD flight.
Truly enjoyed tonights mission.
