Move alternate field to Seoul Airbase, to reduce return journey by 150 miles if required. Took off, made steady climb to altitude, primary targets SA4 enroute, SA2 and SA3 at target, secondary target western SA6, any pop ups encountered.
Made steady progress towards SP3. Then asked to push up by AWACS to provide support for Lobo flight. Enemy dealt with by Lobo flight or turned cold. Element 1 went eyes down and Element 2 stayed eyes up. Bagan to maneouvre to engage SA4, but retasked to support Lobo. Second element got one air to air kill each. Enaged and destroyed SA4, SA2 and SA3, but then two SA6's popped up close to the target, east and west. Both engaged and destroyed.
Engaged several times by AAA as we loitered near the target to support Lobo flight, waiting for strike to engage the target.
Flew home, two Mig's spotted East of track, Homer went hunting and had to land at Seoul due lack of fuel.
Rest of flight loitered near Taegu, with plenty of fuel whilst other groups landed.
Good well coordinated flight by all groups, sounded like the air space was full of enemy fighters as they maneouvred around the battle zone. Far more than were shot down, well done Floyd.

Mission Outcome: MS
Took off and flew pre-planned flight route roughly 30 miles in trail of last SEAD flight. Had no problems all the way to target, when we were about 40-50 miles out got spiked by 29 on the radar but another flight took care of those so we continued in. Floyd and I dropped our bombs on one pass, Doof had to make a second pass as he was assigned two targets but with no issues. If we didn't have an incompetent AI who took three passes to finally get his bombs off we would of been off target 5 minutes sooner but due to the good work of the other flights we had no issues at all and then RTB'd.

Mission outcome: MS Missions plan: Primarily take out both SA2's north and neast of target. We followed the first SEAD flight, about 10 miles their trail. Lobo flight were engaging enemy fighters and awacs asked us to speed up to support. We got sorted on a few of the contacts but both were destroyed before we committed. We then went on to take out both SA'2 and both AAA's successfully. After we capped south of the target area ready to support the sweep flight with any engagements. It wasn't long before strike flight egressed and we were cleared to RTB. Great mission, some faulty comms amongst out flight (technical issue) and great to have full flight RTB. Thanks for the mission Floyd :) |

Mission Outcome: MS
Mission Plan: Establish 320/140 CAP SouthEast of the Target.
Engagements: 2 ship Su27@Bullseye: 1st element went hot, 1 shot from #2, #1 off dry, 2nd element in hot, 2 1 shot from #4,1 kill, lost #4.
Trailer group of 1st 2ship: Engaged thinking of being 27's since i had a spike, turned out to be Su25's. 2 Hits, damaged.
2ship Su 27 southeast of the target: Monitored and engaged once SA4 was out. 1 kill by #3, remainder downed by SEAD
2ship SU27 west of the target: Tasked by AWACS, 1 kill by each.
Lessons learned: MAR were respected but a flat turns instead of a split S's lead to people getting shot down.
