Flight Role: (DCA)
Panther11: "Mango" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
Panther12: "Joif" AA=6 (+1 assist) AG=0 RTB

Mission Outcome: MS

We flew at A25 setting up a cap in the middle of Cowboy and Fury's assigned area's, we waited back to wait for a call if a particular group required assistance, but after the TU-95's had trespassed and several monitoring passes Mango had an issue with one of his trim's fully deflected which he couldn't recover so had to RTB. I awaited on station, I could hear over comms that bombers had now trespassed our airspace with several fighters, after several minutes there was a AI "Fury1-4 Clear my six", as I heard over broadcast they were down on pilots due to technicals so I mistakenly made my way to Cowboy flight (not Fury) to see if I could be assistance.

My radar and RWR was picking up a mess of contacts on the nose and I visually confirmed a furball of 5 Red Aircraft vs 1x F-16 as Floyd and Vaughan had departed I persume the last aircraft to have been Elmo's AI aircraft. I initially picked off a Mig-25 from range with a AIM-7M which was easy to VID from distance due to its size and by time I had guided the missile to its target I was within heater range to assist of the ensuing furball. After dispatching several contacts with heater shots I found myself in a yo-yo with a Mig-21 neither of us willing to give up our 6 easily but the F-16 was much more maneuverable at slow speeds and I managed to get a crossing gunshot to which I was lucky not to be damaged by debris.

After this I disengaged and headed for homeplate to be tasked by AWACS we have 2x bombers heading for homeplate.
I chased these down and used my last remaining AIM7 on the lead bomber and heavily damaged the second with guns until his tail gunner told me he didn't appreciate my aggressive behaviour and decided to put a few holes into my FLCS system, the second bomber was then splashed by home plates SAM system.

All in all I think we did well to avoid blue on blue incidents and losses were low considering we were down on pilots due to technicals, also reviewing the ACMI Blade and Dmans did an excellent job of staying alive despite being heavily outnumbered shame about the debris incident.

For anyone interested I have the acmi for further analysis but was unable to attach it as filesharing is disabled :( also a video I recorded from my POV.

Flight Role: (DCA)
Cowboy11: "Vaughan" AA=3 AG=0 RTB
Cowboy12: "Floyd" AA=1 AG=0 RTB
Cowboy13: "Elmo" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
Cowboy14: "Griffin" AA=0 AG=0 MIA

Mission Outcome: MS

We flew at A25, picking up a 2-ship of bombers approaching the border. The bombers turned cold and then hot again. Once they were 5 miles across the border, I asked Floyd to engage the wingman, while I engaged the leader. Floyd was damaged during this engagement, losing avionics, FLCS and comms.

Shortly afterwards, we had MiG21 and 25 spikes on RWR. Floyd and I were RTB and due to a comms issue, I was unable to successfully communicate with Griffin who was closer to the bandits and got shot down.

During the return flight, I had a vector from AWACS to another 2-ship of bombers, which I engaged successfully. I stood ready to support Panther flight as they were engaging bombers, but was not needed.

RTB was relatively uneventful after that.

All in all a really enjoyable mission, despite the technical difficulties!
