Posted - 19 Nov 2012 : 22:20:20 Flight Role: SEAD Falcon11: "Elmo" AA=1 AG=1 RTB Falcon12: "Vosene" AA=0 AG=1 RTB
Mission Outcome: MS
Flew along pre-planned flight path, just before entering the SA2 circle had jamming contacts, escort flight said they were engaging. I carried in hot on SA2 but due to not raising my landing gear was slow, got 2 mavericks off and turned cold and defensive. The SA2 still appeared to be active so Vosene tried to target the SA2 with a HARM but could not find it on HAD and we were not getting any missile launches. We then picked up more incoming bandits which the escort said they would take care of so we turned cold again. Vosene then turned hot and shot at a Mig29 but I think the escort got him. He then continued hot to SA10 and shot 2 harms which the first one destroyed. I then heard that escort was winchester and there was a bandit to the South so I turned to engage, I found two bandits one at angles 5 and one at angles 21, I fired on the one at angles 5 and shot him down and then monitored the other for about 10 miles but he continued cold and both myself and Vosene were Bingo so returned to base.

Mission Outcome: PS
We took off on mil power and slowly climbed to A26, maintaining 300kts to conserve fuel and allow the SEAD flight more time to deal with the SAM sites. Once we were cleared through, we proceeded to target.
As predicted during the briefing, the targets were proceeding along the south road. 3 engaged first, with 1 second, using a wagon wheel attack pattern.
RTB was uneventful.
Unfortunately we only hit 10 T80s, hence PS. |
