Took off trail and climbed to 29k with 20 miles between elements. Encountered
two groups jamming near target area. While #1 was communicating with the package,
#2 suggested jammers on and climb to 35k, later to 40k. Attacked the groups and shot
all 4 bandits down. The package was cleared to target area and did their job, when a
2-ship of Mig-21 took off from a nearby airfield. We had problems to locate the bandits
and #1 and #3 were shot down. #2 killed both bandits and scored the third hit, though
not shown on the debrief (F4:AF hickup probably).

You were lucky Crowebar.
I was coming into land and all looked fine with about 5nm visibility then about 1nm from the threshold everything went white and I couldn't see a thing. Went around and did a second approach on instruments. Must admit I pushed it as I was well below DH when I finally saw the runway. The fog was so thick I couldn't see the taxiway to exit the runway even though I was only 10 yards away from it!
I think it was the worst visibility I have ever landed in.

Blue Flight
Falcon 1 - SEAD Escort
FL: Crowebar Wingman (baby sitter):Medic
Took off without incident and climbed steadily to A29, and out of 'mountainous' clouds.
About half way across the ogin Fury flight engaged 2 groups of bandits approx 40 miles ahead of us. These consited 2 X SU27 and 2 X Mig 29.
I had a good lock on the SA3 but was too impatient and fired too early. Missile missed.
Fury flight meanwhile eliminated the SU27 and were cold to the Mig 29's. Chalis requested we engage, which we did, splashing 1, damaging the other. After turning cold on the migs I was down to A20 while medic was still up at A29 so I requested that he engage the SA5 which was now showing on the HSI as he had better position to do so. I turned to follow and support, avoiding being too far apart.
enroute Medic became aware of 2 X Mig 21's in close vecinity and turned west to engage, placing him to the East of target, pointing towards target. Fury flight called that they had the migs so we could disengage. However as Medic was already locked up and closer, he continued and downed both Migs, with Fury flight leads ok.
I in the meantime was now the better positioned to attack the SA5. We traded missiles, I was back outside the SA5 threat circle before the missile got into the inner RWR ring. At the same time Medic picked up an SA6 over the target area, which he quickly eliminated.
All threats destroyed we cleared cowboy flight in to the target, and provided a tarcap.
The flight home was largely uneventful for us although Fury engaged some migs.
Landing on runway 290, the weather was eratic, I guess because we had destroyed the weather generation machines, the bad weather was begining to breakup. Found no wind to speak of, and the fog would clear for a few seconds then back again. Thankfully clear over imediate vecinity of airfield so both landed safely.

Flew A25-29 to target maintaining faster than carot in order to hit the window of good weather. Cleared into target once Escort & SEAD Escort had done their stuff. Dropped to low level in the thunderstorm & used Maverick G's on Ammo Dump + MK82s & Maverick D's on radar tower + MK 82's then RTB'd. Offered assistance to Escort on home journey with some bandits but we were not required. A foggy landing with some clear parts also.
